Stackable Cars for Smart Cities
Monday, October 26, 2009 at 12:00PM The other weekend I was lucky enough to be given a tour of the MIT media lab, where I was able to see the famous Stackable Car. The concept behind these cars is that you would use them like shopping carts or shareable bikes. You pick one up at a station, drive it to wherever you're going, and then drop it off at your destination. These tiny cars are build to run on very little energy and to free up city development from dependence on streets designed for heavy car usage.
